Home Sweet Home

We are home now..Ellie's procedure took about 20 minutes!! as I wrote the previous one it was about 10 minutes later...I was so surprised that it went so fast..She is doing fabulous, better than I expected! Ellie has a little pain but she is tolerating it..I thought she would since she has been use to a sore throat for so long. Now we are onto the recovery!! Woohoo...no more strep throat. She is talking a bit funny and is a little pale but she is loving the fact she can have icecream and all that good yummy cold stuff!

Quick update

Ellie went in for her surgery about 10 minutes ago. we had to be here at 6:30 am! She is so brave. We haven't kept anything from her and have told her about everything that was coming her way and I thought she might be nervous or whiny or cry but none of the above! I think I'm more nervous than she is! Good Grief! Marshall gave her a blessing and all will be good. We'll let you all know when she is done.

Ellie Belly is getting her tonsils out!

Ellie will be going into surgery tomorrow (Thursday) to have her tonsils removed. Ellie has had strep throat for 9 months!! Yes 9 months! We have gone into the doctor 7 times and she has been treated from each visit. She has been given several different antibiotics in hopes that one will work. The doctors feel that it just doesn't go away. This poor girl just deals with it...Her throat hurts constantly and her complaints about it are minimal..I know when it starts to get bad and we have to get her back in when she starts to talk funny. So this will be a good thing for her.
And I really wished I wouldn't have watched Oprah yesterday!!! I hardly do and I happen to stumble across this one about how you can contract a staph infection from having surgery...ugh.... Marshall will give her a blessing and I'm sure she will be fine but man I hate that crap, when I watch something and then I end up having to go through it..I'm such a worrier though!

So for the next two weeks I've had to take work off..She has to be home for that time due to the pain and bleeding. I can't send her to school like that and I can't work at home when she will be there in this state..So wish us luck that the financial part won't be to hard to get through! And pray for Ellie that her pain will be minimal! We will update her condition when the procedure is done...actually I'm jealous she gets all the pudding, icecream, popsicles she can handle!

April? Are you sure? Cause I don't believe you!

It is 1:30 am...I've been up catching up on Dancing with the Stars...decided to call it a night..just out of curiosity I decide to look outside. What? What world did I just step into, okay this is April Fools right? Funny guys, okay you can come out now? Alright I'll shut my door again and open it...there won't be any snow! Seriously...what is going on here? I want to see tulips, Green Grass, birds chirping in the Cherry Blossom tree...a song should go along with my image, oh I know...I looked out the window and what did I see, popcorn popping on the Apricot Tree, Spring has brought me such a nice surprise....powder sugar right before my eyes...no no no not powder sugar! Popcorn, Popcorn is suppose to be popping right before my eyes!!! hahahaha, I think I'm entertaining myself more right now than any of you who are reading this, but I'm so SICK OF THE SNOW! I promise I'll do my spring cleaning if you bring me spring?

Birthday Party

Birthday Get together



On March 21st we had a birthday get together for Makayla and Ellie. Ellie didn't get a party and so we did a combo party. I'm so glad for all the people that came because it was fun and relaxing...no stress! Thanks to all who came and to those who brought food to! We hauled our grill to the park and had a BBQ. By the way, does anyone know how to put pictures together like a collage thing?

Happy 6th Birthday Makayla

Makayla Marie is 6 years old today!!!

Our little girl is all growed up!!! I can't believe that you are six years old. Whew!!

It seems like yesterday you were born?? I remember how sweet you were as a baby, you were so mellow, quiet, you hardly cried and when you did it was so soft, you slept through the night from the day you came home from the hospital. You were blessed with such a sweet spirit. Daddy and I knew from the moment we met you that you were special and were going to be so loving with everyone. You have a smile that is so contagious, you can't help but smile back! Throughout these years Daddy and I have watched you grow and blossome into a very lovely little lady. Not only are you funny and love to joke around but you also have a sense of your surroundings. You always know when someone needs a hug, a laugh or a Makaylaism. I swear you're turning 40 for how grown up you talk and act. Daddy and I have been so blessed to be given such a sweet little girl, you are an awesome daughter and the best big sister. We love you so much and can't wait to see what great and amazing things you will accomplish! Happy Birthday Little Lady!

MOTHER DAUGHTER NIGHT-BEACH PARTY

Makayla's school had this on Friday night. It was so much fun! I love doing stuff like this with my girls. The girl in the middle is our friend Molly, her mom couldn't come that night so she went with us. They taught us to Hula, played volleyball with beachballs, made flowers to go in our hair, had sherbet icecream with a chocolate dipped coconut cookie (yum), and had pictures done with a beach background. I almost forgot about it till an hour before and I was scrambling to find something beach or hawaiian, so I ran to the dollar store and bought some fake flowers and got some lei's. I tore the flowers apart and put a bobby pin through them and did each of the girls hair. You can't see Ellies, her pony tail is on the other side with the flower in it and she wouldn't wear her lei. And then I was frantically looking for something beachy and hawaiian to wear...I found two dresses that had palmtrees and such and some shorts that were hawaiian, and a grass skirt and tried to make the best of it..each girl has a piece of what I found...hahahaha not bad for really last minute!!! We had a blast!

Showing off their new flowers they made. Ellie wouldn't put hers on..it was to big she said..and you can't see it but she wrapped her lei around her ankle cause it was to big for her neck to! Kayla's lei ended up around her wrist and then they handed out plastic ones and that ended up around her ankle to..funny girls..already into fashion, what they think will look better!! haha

Our Aunt Pat sent us this video and I absolutely loved it! It is so cute. I love all the little clips that the Church does. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Please know that I hate it as much as you if not worse...We were having ads and comments from people we don't have a clue as to who they are! I think it is totally ridiculous...we have this blog for family and friends and I don't think we need to make everything so private so idiots can't get into our personal lives!!! Oh it aggravates me to no end...it started back with telemarketers calling our home phones, then calling in the early am and at dinner time, then it went to cell phones, then it went to emails, now it is in our blogs, websites etc etc!!!!!! WHEN WILL THIS MADNESS END???? I wish we could rally together on this and get it to stop! This Blog is going to soon become private...Although I hate those who have private blogs because I have to sign in to look at their blogs, I now understand why they are private. I get so many weirdos lately posting advertisements on our comments and what not. So there is my reasoning for it. And if you don't have it but are one of our friends and family call me or email someone who has it and I can get it to you....ha ha so demanding right? Well it has been such nice weather lately and the girls have had major cabin fever from the winter that we went for a bike ride. We walked over to the church and the girls had a blast!!! We were over there for an hour or more! When they got tired the girls would come sit on the grass and then they would be right back on the bikes again..so much fun. I'm so excited for nice sunny weather...go away cold and wind and snow...and don't come back!

I have been meaning to post this for a couple of days but have been so sick. So Happy Birthday!!!! I love this pic with you and the grandkids! Wow!!! Isn't this a blast from the past! I found this pic and thought we all looked so cute so I'd thought I'd post it....Also because I feel guilty for not posting for awhile and we don't have any recent pics of anything. My sister looks like I was goosing her or something??

Well we have been told that we need to post something on here. Our lives have been non stop for quite some time and hopefully it slows down. I have desperately tried to avoid reading the Twilight series but.......I gave in, I know I'm so weak! But this is a freakin good book! So I finished the first in a couple of days and am on the second and almost done with that. We have celebrated many birthdays this past month, My grandma's, Marshall's and Mine. Whew!!! We had an 80th celebration for my Gran and it turned out great! I was so pleased with all the work we all put forth it paid off. Gran hasn't stopped talking about it since. Thanks to those who came and celebrated with us and also to those who helped put this together. Well that much sums it up for now. I need to get some pics off my camera and I'll have to post those later cause the book is calling my name............ahhhhhhhh!

HAPPY 80TH BIRTHDAY GRAN!!!!!

I just wanted to wish my Grandma a Happy Birthday. The old girl is 80 years old!!! What an amazing life you have had. I have enjoyed looking through all of your old pictures and seeing how many wonderful things you have accomplished in your life. I am so grateful that you are my 'Gran'. You have always been there for me. You and I have always shared a closeness that goes beyond this life. I was watching White Christmas the other day and remembering coming to your house for sleepovers and staying up watching old movies on kbyu. And I remember naming all of your blankets that I would sleep with out of food...you had a brown blanket with brown dots and I called it chocolate chip cookie and the afghan Denise made you was neopolitan and so on. You always make me feel special and I appreciate that. The Gospel has been such an important part of your life, I don't know where I would be spiritually if I didn't have you as an example. I know I can always talk to you on a spiritual and uplifting level. I love you Gran and I am so glad that I was blessed with an AWESOME Grandma like you!!!!

My Wonderful Family!

I just wanted to take a moment and say how wonderful my family is. My 'little' brother I look up to and my sister is my Best Friend. And on top of that I have an awesome extended family. Peter has a great wife and children. They are a fun and close family. Carrie is the best Aunt! She is always doing something fun for her nieces and nephews. My Aunt and Uncle are amazing and have two very good looking children. My Aunt cracks me up! I never knew she could be so funny and great to get along with since I have been working with her. And my uncle is the funniest person and always knows the right time to crack a joke or remark. My cousins are both so talented. Parker is professional sportsman and Morgan is georgeous, smart and kind. My grandma is always there to offer me guidance spiritually. And last and certainly not least, My mom who raised us on her own and to this day will do anything for us. We had this picture taken in October and not only are we a good lookin bunch but even though there may be miles between us, we can always come together and treat one another with respect and love as if we saw one another yesterday. I love my family so much and am so blessed that they are apart of my life and that my children have so many wonderful role models. I look forward to all the many bumps and dips and smooth roads ahead of us and to the many more wonderful memories we will share with eachother. I hope this New Year is a blessed one for all of us. Happy New Year everyone!

HAPPY FOURTH BIRTHDAY GABRIELLA BELLE!!

Our little baby is four years old now? I can't believe it. Where did the time go? How can she be 4 already? It seems like yesterday that you were in the NICU with so many lines and tubes and wires connected to you and even though you were the biggest baby and seemed more healthy than the other babies, we just couldn't take you home. Daddy and I waited anxiously to bring you home. I remember having such a hard time going in pregnant and leaving without my baby. We were so blessed then that you were able to finally come home and we are still so blessed today that you are here and healthy and bring so much joy to our lives. Makayla just loves her little sister and will do anything for you to make sure you are safe and protected. She has always watched out for you and continues to do so. So you are now 4 and it is amazing the things you have been through in those short 4 years. You started life out in a bubble, and your sense of humor came true when you would keep us up at night, and would grin just knowing we were so exhausted, your little pranks and teasers you do with daddy get funnier and funnier as you get older and develop your personality. You are headstrong and independant to the extreme but I know that will make you a confident, strong woman some day. You have had broken bones, sprained elbows, bumps, bruises, skinned knees, these injuries never slow you down, they make you more determined to try try again, and I just love that spirit about you! Well Ellie belly, we all love you very much and are excited to see what the next year holds for you or what other surprises you have in store for us. Happy Birthday big girl!
