Oh Back to school...back to school

Well Summer seemed to have flown by!!! I can't believe how fast it went!! We all survived the first day of school with minimal tears! Well for some of us!!!! I just got a few pics of Kayla walking to her bus stop and a few in her new class. She loves her teacher this year and I like her to. Hopefully I won't have to yell at this one this year!!! :(

Makayla loves to ride the bus. I think she feels more freedom?? She doesn't like for me to take her to school.

This pic below was actually her first day..the pics above of the bus was her second day..I wanted to take her to school on the first day. She was so excited!

And even more excited about being in her new class with her BFF from last years class!! And of course Ellie was there to make sure her sister was okay! She didn't start K for another week.

Ellie's first day of Kindergarten!!! Boy was she excited, especially when she saw her friend Avery. He is in our old ward and they are buddies!!

She was very excited....until she got up to the door and then she got really nervous. In the morning she said to me, "mom, i'm so nervous that I'm not going to be able to read"? It was cute and sad to hear..Cute that she was nervous, sad that she was so worried about that! I assured her that that is why she is going to school, to learn!

Going into her class behind Avery! They were both so nervous. Avery's mom wanted to take a pic of Ellie and Avery together but Ellie just hid behind me till she had to go in. When her teacher came to the door to welcome the kids in, Ellie never looked back. Me and Megan (Avery's mom) kept sneaking in to take a peek at our kids since they never looked back to see where mommy was? They were happy as can be sitting next to each other waiting to have their seat assignments..then they were happier when they were seated next to each other! So cute, but I cried....My Ellie didn't need me!!!

We finally got a pic of the Ellie and Avery together...only a week later!!! But they are so funny! Love these kids!!!

Ellie's first ride home on the bus! This was such a thrill! She didn't want me to get her, she wanted to ride home with Sister!

Sisters walking home.

The school had back to school "skate night". They clear out a parking lot, hire a d.j., have lots of food and the kids have a blast! They have a bubble pool which is what is below and the kids love it. It makes them wet, cold and sticky but they don't care! They have a blast! Below is Kayla just sitting under the spout! So funny! She was giggling so hard!

Ellie and another girl were chasing each other around the bubble area..they were laughing so hard! It made me smile!

Kayla on her scooter and singing! of course!

Ellie skating...or should I say shuffling! She looked so cute on these! She had a little friend that would help her.

Has it really been 5 months???!!!

Well I have been a major slacker on this blog. Does anyone do this anymore? A few people ask me to post things on my blog, but the photos or videos take forever to load on here! I might be doing it wrong, who knows.

So much has gone on in these past few months. Many of you know we had our baby boy!! His name is Connor James. He is so much fun! The girls are just in love with him. Marshall can't wait to hold him when he gets home from work. Although he has had colic!! This is such a torturous thing for both baby and parents! Why do these cute little babies have to go through this? Connor is now 8 weeks old! I can't believe it! He is smiling, responding to us when we talk to him, he looks around until he finds one of us and then smiles. It is so cute. Makayla is such a little mom. She loves to help me change him. Ellie thinks he is a doll and wants to hold him. It lasts for about a minute and then she is giving him back, but that happens quite a bit throughout the day. Among having Connor, Marshalls Brother's and their families came to town. It was so great!!! We haven't seen these guys or have had a time where we were all together for such a long time! I remember the good ole days, when all of us would hang out, watch movies or go to dinner. It was great seeing them but really sad to see them go to! We also moved, again! It was one crazy month in July! Things are barely starting to slow down. I don't know if I even had a chance to recover after the baby, life just picked up pace and I was back to the routine of things. Marshall is working like crazy. I'm so grateful for his hard work in keeping this family going. I'm amazed on how little sleep he can go on sometimes. But he does it and I'm so appreciative of him. Makayla is starting 2nd grade! Can you believe it? And Ellie starts Kindergarten. Oh man, the time has flown by. We moved back into the ward we were in when Kayla was 1! People at church on Sunday asked us how long it's been..alot say only 4 years right...uh no almost 7 years! It is amazing that the girls have grown up so fast!

So I'm going to attempt to add a video and or picture on here. Hopefully it works....here it goes...

Connor in the morning...you can hear Marshall snoring to!! These were done with my cell phone so forgive the poor quality!

Connor is kicking and waving his arms in excitement..This was a first for him to do this when I talk to him. So cute!

So much stuff so little time!

Well it has been a while since we have posted anything on here. Sometimes I wonder if anyone really reads it, Cause I post so little? But here is what has been happening...We found out we are having a boy..Now if you don't know already then you must not be in the circle...hahaha kidding every one should know by now! We are just way to excited to not tell everyone!!! The girls are so excited and so is Marshall! When we had the Ultrasound it seriously was the happiest day in his life. I was so expecting them to say another girl, I didn't want to get my hopes up. But Marshall was absolutely beaming! The Tech was giggling at him cause he seriously was on cloud nine!!! It is so cool to hear him say 'my son' when he talks about him. We have decided on a name. Although Makayla and Ellie think his name should be Conrad Cordouroy, it is going to be Connor James. Man I love the sound of it! But really I don't know what I'm going to do with a boy??? I am going to love the change but this guy will have equipment that can aim!!! What the heck do I do with that? I'm sure it will be fine, just jitters I guess. We are seriously so blessed to be able to add to our family. I'm so looking forward to the next year with a new baby in the house!

Well Marshall and I got pegged to speak in church a couple of Sundays ago..We were told to pick our favorite Hymns. Mine is I know that My Redeemer Lives and Marshall's is A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief. I had such a hard time putting this together. But at the last hours it finally came together and I hoped that my message or testimony was delivered as I had it in my mind. I prayed long and hard and kept hitting the delete button several times and not just back spacing but highlighting a paragraph and hitting delete till I felt it was just right. Why is it so hard to express your thoughts and testimony? I probably don't do it often enough! This hymn was hard though. I was trying to find the right doctrine on it. But once it finally fell into place it all flowed. Marshall did great to! He was so nervous. But I love to hear him talk. He is an awesome speaker. I was then called as the Primary Secretary. Our presidency is such a diverse group. Not one of us is alike! But we mesh really well together. I am excited to serve and keep it organized. I really didn't realize how much the secretary has to do. I had this calling before and I guess forgot how much paper work and organizing I had to do. But it is so much fun. Our Primary really only has 10 regulars..very small! So getting kids to do talks and such is hard since they have to do it so often.

Ellie's Bday party finally arrived on Feb 27th. I know I am a horrible mom! It was so close to xmas, and so many things were going on with family members here and parties, and getting ready that I asked her if we could do it after Christmas. I said I promise we will make it really special if you can wait. Of course she did but didn't let me forget it. So we had a Princess party for her. She was so excited. This will be the second princess party, one was Kayla's when she was 3 and then Ellie's. I tried really hard not to copy the ideas from Kayla's but when you have done one Princess party what else can you do? Marshall helped me cut up some card board boxes to make an entrance way that looked like a castle entrance, I painted it and such, and then the kids came in their prince or princess costumes. we had crowns and wands for all. We did a craft that was a princess snowglobe, marshall was dressed up like a king and he acted out or read sleeping beauty and snow white. I heard alot of giggling and marshall's booming voice coming from downstairs so I know it was a hit. I was upstairs cleaning up the crafts and getting lunch on the table for the kids. We ate then busted up a tiara pinata, but Ellie calls it a piata. Then played pin cinderella in her window, passed out treat bags, I had also made suckers in the shape of castles, carriage and a princess for each kid, we sang and ate a tiara bday cake. Ellie said that the piata was her favorite and kayla liked doing the snowglobes. So hopefully all was entertained. She got some cool gifts to. These parties are so much fun!!! I can't wait to get some boy parties to plan now! And it will be in the summer to, so alot of things can be done outside!!! woohooo...

So just a few things that have happened lately. We are all doing good. I've had just a few health concerns during this pregnancy but nothing that can't be controlled or to be alarmed about. The upcoming events is the girls have a dance competition in each of their age groups, dance recital, Kayla will graduate from first grade, I enroll Ellie into Kindergarten (what????), and the most exciting and life changing event for all is Little Connor will join our family in June. Among all the planning and preparing for this little one! Phew...This will be a busy next few months. Hopefully I can get my dumb camera to cooperate and post some pics soon! Hope this gives a bit of an update on us until I can get to the next post.

Oh and did I mention that I'm totally looking forward to blossoming trees, spring tulips, and green grass soon? Spring please hurry up!

Jensen Family Christmas Party

My family got together on Christmas eve. We had a blast. Everyone was in a good mood, the kids were happy with their gifts, the boys played xbox..we all fought over the highest score on rubiks cube game, decorated cookies for santa and made magical oats for the reindeer..and of course ate tons of food! It was a great day and we all didn't leave till 10 pm...which made santa late coming to our house. Thanks family, you are all great and I had such a good time with all of you!

The Holidays

This year was busy in December! We had so many parties, I'm all partied out! No, it was alot of fun. So here are a few of the things that we did...

Braydon, Jason (holding ambria), Shelly, Makayla, Marshall and Ellie..trying to take a pic between crowds of people not easy! Poor Ambria was so cold! They left a bit early to warm her up. Then our family walked around a while longer and checked out the new visitor center and walked up to the church office building to get a better view of the temple..Temple square didn't seem to have as many lights as I remember from back in the day, but it was all still so beautiful.

Family photo in front of temple..I'm hoping my friend Becky would love to photoshop the temple in the background for us!!! tee hee would you becky???

Braydon to cool for school! It was cold though and he isn't use to this weather like we are. This was in front of the reflection pool.

One of the many beautiful views of the temple.

More pics to come...I didn't have my camera at all our family functions and waiting for them to be sent to me!

It's True...We are having another baby!!!

Well this was suppose to be a planned pregnancy, but 5 weeks before I had my IUD removed we got pregnant..It was a shocker!!! I went in for an emergency ultrasound due to some spotting and cramping, the doc thought I was having a miscarriage and also wanted to make sure it wasn't an atopic (spelling??) pregnancy, and found out instead of being 7 weeks I was 12 weeks...ya I was in shock. I'm still having a hard time realizing I'm that much farther along??!! So we are due June 25. Our family is so excited. The girls are just waiting for a little brother!! Although I keep telling them we are not sure what the baby will be yet! They still call it their little brother..so Heavenly Father please send a little Brother!! ;) I posted this pic upside down so you can see the baby easier. I wish the picture turned out as well as it was on the monitor, you could see the legs, feet, toes, arms, face so clear! It was freakin adorable!!

Makayla and Ellie's Debut

Makayla and Ellie have been taking Tap, Clogging, Tumbling and Hip Hop. No not 4 different classes, i'm not an obsessed parent, they go once a week! haha. Ellie is Tap and tumbling they do a half hour each and Makayla does Clogging and Hip Hop. It has been so much fun watching them learn these dances, now they had an opportunity to perform them in front of family and friends. It was so stinkin cute! Here are a few pics of the little stars. So I've been trying all day to download a video of their dances and blogger won't load it it just acts like it is going to but then it doesn't? So I'll keep trying but in the meantime here are these pics.

Ellie was in two dances one was a christmas and the other was a really cute boogy one.

Our Family decided to surprise Grandpa Call and come for Thanksgiving to his house in Colorado. Grandma Call was in on the secret to!! We had so much fun! It was a nice vacation for everyone. I had a little bit of "Travel" sickness but all in all it was a blast!! Karen bought a new game Super Mario for the Wii. So us adults put the kids to bed a bit early and had a night of Mario..we were up till about 1 am playing this game. It was a blast. A few practical jokes were done which made someone pop a hemi, and made others almost pee their pants!!! The girls were so good in the car, a few squabbles here and there but for the most part they were awesome! I'm so glad we were able to go. Here are a few pics of what we did and I have a few videos that I'll post to. Thanks Karen and Calvin for letting us come and visit...mmmmm I'm still dreaming about all the good food we had!! yum

First Day of First Grade

Well it has happened! Our Baby Girl is off to First Grade? How does this happen, no there is no way Kayla is old enough to be in first grade! Oh man! Well today started off quite nice though. She has been a little nervous and has been so worried about being the new kid and if she will have friends, if she will like the teacher as much as she liked her kindergarten teacher and if the kids will like her. Marshall gave her a father's blessing and she was so cute, I took a peak and she was so serious about getting a blessing. I love that fact that she is so serious when it comes to the Gospel...this little stinker knows more about it than I do! She is so spiritual and has the sweetest spirit! So when she was getting the blessing she was listening well to what her dad and Heavenly had to say to her. Then we took her to school...and yes the whole fam went along. We were all so excited for her to start.

The car ride to school

Walking in...so nervous the whole time mumbling I hope the kids like me cause I'm the new kid...I hope I like my teacher and that she is nice....

My big bad daddy will protect me and lead the way....I hope the kids will like me....

Hanging up my backpack....I hope I make new friends.....

This is my new friend!!!!!

Good luck sissy have a good day!

Whew!!!!

We are finally moved! We have wanted to move back to SLC for so long but it was never right...until now...We are all so excited to be here. I had been packing for a month, and I was so overwhelmed since Marshall had been living in SLC for his job for the last two months. Luckily my sister and friends came to help me do some packing. I wasn't completely done on Friday morning but the Elders came and there was 6 guys helping Marshall load all the big stuff and the boxes that had been packed. Then my mom, marshall and I did the rest and then cleaned and left Spanish Fork for good!!! Once we got to SLC our friends and family were there to help us unload! It went so fast!! Thank you Kelly, Josh, Holly, Berto, Fred, Jaelann, Carrie and Mom for helping us that evening! It was bittersweet leaving. We made some great friends and had alot of wonderful memories, but we were also looking forward to getting to SLC. The girls have been so excited! They have been counting down the days!!! Looking back on this last year I'm so completely amazed that we made it! I think this year for me, marshall and the girls has been the most unhappiest! I know we went through alot of trials here medically, physically, emotionally!!! I honestly didn't think we would still be a family unit at the end of this year? And really I don't know why I questioned it at the time!!! The adversary has nothing on us....we are all very strong willed people, of course we can withstand the lowest of the lows! So I'm so glad we made it, blessings have poured in on us during this move. We found a place that we all love, love the area, close to family and friends and jobs, money was never an issue so we couldn't move, and we never have to drive an hour to see any of you again!!! Unless you live outside this state! haha It just feels so good to be home!!!! Come visit us, we are only at the least 10 min away!

Adventures at Discovery Museum

So since I posted these pics I've been on the run ever since. Marshall has been living in SLC for the last 2 months and it has been crazy here. So while Katie and Morgan were here we went to The Discovery Museum at the Gateway. This place is so much fun! We got there at 10 so Marshall could go with us for a couple hours then Katie and Morgan met up with us. We played with everything, we even took an art class where we all painted something. It was $8.50 a person regardless of age. But I think it was money well spent considering me and the girls didn't leave until 4 pm. Oh and Katie got in with a discount since she is in the military. If you show your military ID you get buy one get one free.

Ellie was in Farmland loading the bales of hay into the truck bed.

Makayla and Morgan playing in the beehive. You could put these balls in different areas of the beehive and it would go through these tubes and come out in a different place.

Ellie loved the little house. It had everything, kitchen, living room, sitting room etc. she put on this little house coat and starting cleaning, ironing, cooking.

The art class. The little red headed boy on the left went to Kayla's school. He followed her everywhere and they were both so excited to see eachother. Such a coincidence since we live in Spanish Fork and were in SLC. I thought it was funny and so did the kids.

Ellie playing the cashier in the grocery store. The store had checkouts, aisles of food, a deli, produce section etc.

The water area. this was pretty neat. it had different stations that the balls would travel through and would do different things so the ball could get to the next station.

Holy cow this was so funny. Ellie went and put on the hat and fireman coat and got in the cop car and rode around the play area. her little legs were going so fast it was hysterical. I got a video somewhere, I'll have to post it.

Construction area. The whole museum is set up to play by yourself or together. It is alot more fun to do it together. Kayla is the crane operator while her friend was unloading and stacking the big blocks behind him.

Another section of the beehive.
